About Us
Our Story
Cheeseya (cheeseya.zakka) is named after two Shiba Inus, and our story begins with them.
One is a girl named Yaya, who was abandoned in a parking lot.Cheese was surrendered by his previous owner and brought to an adoption center.

They both came to us after difficult beginnings. Through them, we learned the true meaning of kindness, and that feeling became the heart of our brand.
Cheeseya was born from rescue, care, and compassion. We hope Yaya and Cheese can become small “messengers of hope”, gently reminding people to care for animals still waiting for a chance to be loved.
We are a group of friends living across Tokyo, New York, and Zhengzhou, brought together by music and a shared love for warm, heart-warming Asian lifestyle goods. The word “zakka” reflects our affection for everyday objects that feel thoughtful, gentle, and full of care.
At Cheeseya, we curate Asian-inspired zakka and lifestyle goods that bring comfort and meaning to daily life. Beyond our online store, we also host pop-ups and community events in New York, where we share stories, connect with others, and celebrate thoughtful design in person.
What you find here is more than just a product. It’s a small piece of warmth, made to brighten everyday moments.
